Doing it unto The Lord

hi GGians im back from visitation and saturation and just have an impression in my heart to share on the blog. so here it goes...

today i went to visit many irregulars and backsliders today..still went to my regulars and just felt that as i go down weekly to meet their needs, (which varies from filling up forms for them, checking jobs for them, making calls on their behalf, feeding them, doing their homework, answer questions, giving e occasional food, bus, see doc money, etc), i just feel that their hearts are so open to us. when i tell them this week 星期五星期六 come for Easter, they will w/o hesitantly say "ya ok". then i wonder what made them so supportive to give the ready yes (even i would consider going twice).. then i figured it was how I'D BEEN CARING FOR THEM ALL THESE WHILE.
as i meet their needs and care for their concerns weekly, they will naturally be open to this "Jesus in me". we are like the hands and feet of God, the source of help in times of need. they will know God is real and this God cares for them. for me, i just feel, in return, so needed, here to help them and be concerned about their concerns.
though its tiring to visit for a few hours and cover so many kids..i feel my trip was indeed needed.
i hope it encourages you to keep going. and as the title says,"doing it unto the Lord". its "doing"not just do..the work is never ending yes..but i can do however much i can..just like the starfish story..救一个是一个/'save one is one' diference i made. sometimes it just takes us to be less focus on our agendas and focus on others' agendas and eventually your agenda will still come.
today it just touches me how my kids and their parents especially are so appreciative of my persistent visits. many parents thank me...say xin ku ni le...ask me how's work etc...they keep me smiling. and i saw the power of agreement and unity today.
i went to my kid-karyan's place as usual. her father is suffering from lingba cancer at the throat. he will be going for a major op on tues (14/4) to remove it. pls pray for him and ask for complete healing. he is very nice and a good cook. he will be the one, who at the end of the day, offer mi a drink and some dian xin/snacks he made
and today he offered me to a bowl of ' sharkfins' soup, no matter how hard i explain or reject. then i offered to pray for him in view of his tues op. the family is so enthu. the mother gathered the kids and all of them, mother, father, two kids, and even an eldery grandma stood up from her bed,came over and laid hands to pray for him. i was touched by the unity and told him this unity is powerful, as they agree and stand by one another =] i saw a family unit joined together. i think our natural and spiritual family should be the same..caring and standing by one another while we fight our battles.

I am glad im in one. Thanks for being my family.

(p.s. u have no idea how much it took me to write n complete this post. e number of times i nod off and sleep while typing [only slept 2/3 hours for 2 days]..but insisted in blogging this FOR U!)

anyway we are 4 days into the new year, hope we all remember Lot's wife. i see it as starting the new year on a fresh white clean new piece of paper. i like newness, guess cos our God is a God of new things so being made in His', we have this portion/longing for newness in our lives so Freshen UP, and Fight the good Fight of Faith God's General! (aka GG, i just thot of this! not God's Girls! ah hahah)
